IMAGIS, the producer of the MapaMap software, has prepared the latest package of digital maps of Poland and a new version of its navigation application for the coming 2008 holiday season. The users of MapaMap navigation using the Clarion and Becker GPS devices were the first ones to be able to update the maps as well as the new MapaMap navigation system. The users of other GPS devices with the MapaMap software will successively receive the updates.
The new version of the MapaMap navigation system bears the number 5.2 and offers new functions such as:
- A voice message warning users that they are approaching a selected POI – users can choose the type of POI after the navigation system has warned them with a voice message.
- The possibility of choosing the map colours – users can select the map colour from among several available options that best suits their needs. The new package of digital maps of Poland contains the following data:
- 2,158,210 address points in Poland
- 2,327 detailed city and town maps, including 1,947 maps with addresses
- 402,262 km of roads, including 305,315 km of asphalt roads
- 139,156 POI, including photo radars
- 16 cities with 3D building outlines: Białystok, Częstochowa, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Lublin, Łódź, Katowice, Krakow, Olsztyn, Poznań, Rzeszów, Tarnów, Wrocław, Warsaw, and Zielona Góra
MapaMap – updates and upgrades
The users of the MapaMap software are guaranteed free updates of the navigation application “for life”, and they can update their maps by purchasing a one-year “MAP SUBSCRIPTION” or by purchasing a single “MAP UPGRADE”, which are available on the website at www.mojemapy.imagis.pl.
